(110,159 posts)and i am not gonna go hunting them. not an easy thing for me to do. but, i found it interesting and made sense. that is why they say women are above 16% and men are 21%.
they can get a consistent number on that for men. it is much easier for them to say that, ya they cheated, or not. not so easy for women. this has been found to be one area where women lie. and lie often, lol. all about the lying. and the couple of last studies i read on this does put women about even with men, and one said it is probably higher for women than men. but it is also the reason you state. a man is a stud for the fuck and a woman is a slut for the fuck. meh...
and really, i do not much care about all this. my point, and why i am continually putting this out. i too believed it was much higher. years of living and listening to men be outraged at the accusation of a cheater, the label, their pride in being faithful to wife, their wanting to be heard, their hurt of being thought otherwise, gave me pause. and i actually did research on it.
when it behooves a man, he wants to be all about the "think with his dick". when that stroke of the ego is not needed then you hear men proudly and stridently claim, they do not cheat, would not cheat, no interest in cheating.
i thought that should be honored. and thru research, i found that what i was hearing from men was more correct than not.
so the least we can do is not create a more worse of who we are, than what we actually are.
