(56 posts)There are plenty of viscious dogs. They are wild dogs that roam every country on earth. It is in the nature of the canine to kill for survival.
It has only been through prolonged contact that SOME dogs have been persuaded to not kill human beings. Even the milder breeds are not to be trusted around small children EVER.
Nanny Dogs or not, those powerful jaws and sharp teeth are driven by millions of years of instinct and not by a mere hundred thousand years or so of domestication.
In addition, bad dog owners...(or trainers or fighters, whatever) create bad dogs. Dogs who are emotionally incapable of acceptable behavior are "bad dogs." Anyone who rescues them knows this and knows that they are rolling the dice AT BEST when they try to care for them.
A person who would adopt these animals would be foolish to do so if they intended to keep them around children. If they are adults it is their choice to take the risk.
