Same as with any bigot. People don't get to pick and choose what aspect of his personality or even his accomplishments they would rather highlight and declare they admire one but abhor the other. To admire a bigot for any reason is to enable a bigot's bigotry. You embolden the bigot when you praise a bigot. Regardless of what you are praising.

To suggest tolerance for accomplishment over the damage caused as a necessary evil is to say bigotry is a necessary evil that comes along with any good that might be derived, and that people must simply accept the bad.

Which is a fine and dandy apologia...

Unless you're the target of the bigot's attacks.
