The judge questioned whether the deal meant that no further charges could be brought against hunter biden, basically giving him immunity for the time period going back to the statute of limitations for known offenses.

Hunters lawyers said yes.

The prosecution said no.

They couldn't agree (why accept a plea deal if you were just going to be charged with something else anyway?).
