10. The problem isn't attracting new people

Kaiser is a highly sought after place of employment who take good care of their employees (source: half my in-laws work there). If I play my cards right, I plan on working there after graduation.

The current problem, particularly with nursing shortages, is that there aren't enough schools/slots available to train new nurses. I'm going through this now, where 300 people are applying for 25 spots. Even though I have a 4.0 and blew my TEAS test out of the water, it's still highly, highly competitive.

I support the strike and workers earning higher pay. But there is a lot more at work with these healthcare shortages. We need more schools and more instructors, because right now a lot of medical schools and certifications are getting bottle-necked because of it.
