Israel is not going to 'slaughter hundreds of thousands of children'. You know this, so does everyone here.

You have provided us all with a useful lesson on the perils of argument by hyperbole. A bit of conscious exaggeration can be useful in sharpening a point, but when the trick is resorted to habitually, what was originally knowing exaggeration comes with familiarity to be taken for plain fact, which must now be exaggerated to drive home the point, and so on and so on ad infinitum, apparently....
