The principle that presidents are not above the law must be firmly established by court cases. If he is not convicted, others will be emboldened to try it again.

Would be really great if he is sentenced to a prison term.

Best, but less likely due to all the delays forthcoming, would be him actually entering prison, serving some time, then stroking out.
