17. My high school friends,

for the most part, are ignorant racists. It really came out early last month, when one of my best friends from high school slammed me for liking Obama. She didn't just talk bad about him, she basically called me a freeloader for not working (I'm currently home with my kids--lots of WORK, but no pay), as well as a slut for having "lots of kids with more than one man."

I've been married exactly twice. All of my children belong to one of my husbands. I never realized that getting divorced and remarried made me a slut.

Anyway, I decided that I never really had much in common with her, and I certainly didn't need to be friends with someone so poisonous. She was something of a bully in high school, too, but at the time, there weren't a lot of options for friends in my very small town.
