In reply to the discussion: Political Wire: "Biden Has Lost Young Voters" [View all]Metaphorical
(2,640 posts)67. I'd call BS on this
Young people are far more employed today than they were in 2020. They are far more concerned about LGBQT issues, and women's autonomy. They are less concerned about inflation than older demographics, and generally are not as dependent upon gasoline, which is the most unpredictable component of inflation. If Powell is correct, rates should start falling before the end of the year. Tech sector is hurting, but the vectors there are in the right direction. Most young people are NOT invested in the stock market - they distrust it, and most can still not afford to be invested in it.
Sounds to me like polling, like everything else, has been corrupted.

Really! I agree. When I see this sort of thing, I immediately pass on by it. Too confusing and too cluttered.

If a young voter honestly believes that Trump will do better for them, they are truly lost.

These polls are meaningless at this point -- the alternative is horrific so I'm not worried

"unnamed generic Democrat" is the magic unicorn. The unicorn always polls well. P.S. the margin of error is almost 5%
