31. The Republican plan to create a dictatorship is all laid out in their book Project2025.

I downloaded it from their site (project2025.org) for free. It was written mostly by members of the Heritage Foundation and former members of Trump’s administration. They plan to create an imperial presidency with no checks and balances on executive power. People forget that the Supreme Court has no ability to enforce its rulings, so once Trump and his sycophants are in charge, they will simply ignore any court rulings they don’t like. They plan to hire only lawyers like Eastman who are willing to take unconstitutional actions that are clearly illegal to support Trump’s every whim.

And if Trump wins (or they cheat him into office), he will likely have hundreds of top-level military appointments he can fill with those loyal only to him. With a military to obey his orders, a Congress with a possible Senate majority, and a neutered Supreme Court, we have an end to democracy and a dictatorship that will claim to be democratic but will not be.

The media has occasionally mentioned Project 2025, but most have just ignored it. Its contents need to be front and center every day. It’s 920 pages long, so it has a lot of details about how Republicans plan to overthrow democracy.
