Did anyone else get their SS check early? I got mine today. I usually don't get until the end of the month--19th-28th.

26. Ours are direct deposit

Mine goes into my account in Texas, and my wife’s goes into her account in Düsseldorf, as she has no need of a bank account in the USA. I don’t monitor my American bank account often, so I don’t know when payments come in. I don’t use it a lot, except to write checks for things in the USA.

Our daughters are still over a quarter century away from eligibility, so who knows if Social Security will still even be there when it’s their time? If their overall situations don’t change, our New York based daughter will definitely apply when the time comes. Our Germany-based daughter makes so much money, she could have her payment deducted from her account each month and she wouldn’t even notice. She also is generous with her sister, so we are not worried about either one, should anything happen to us, which, sooner or later, it inevitably will.
