26. When my grandparents passed away
Fri Nov 17, 2023, 07:56 PM
Nov 2023

My grandmother was very sick with cancer. When they moved her to hospice, my grandfather (who had pretty bad dementia - she did too) said, "This is a dying place, isn't it? I don't need to worry about taking care of Mary anymore."
That night he went downhill incredibly fast and died the next morning.
When we went to tell her that he had passed, she said the same thing, "I don't need to worry about taking care of him."
She died the next day.
