But my stepsister in TX was telling me what her holiday shopping deals were. The local HEB has an 18lb regular turkey for $18. Plus, they have a coupon to get a free spiral-sliced ham with that turkey. For the lazy or busy or just plain bad cooks, HEB *also* has a pre-stuffed 11lb turkey for $33. Just put it in ye olde oven and bake away.

I checked HEB's high-end sister site, Central Market, and they have a pre-smoked gourmet turkey for $75. To hit $90, you have to get a ~15 lb Diestel 'gourmet heirloom' fresh turkey. The stepsister says not no but hell no will she spend that on something that will get wiped out in less than an hour. They're going with the $18 18lb bird with the ham for the (Tex-Mex) family gathering she's hosting.
