If I lived in a red state I would know you weren't talking about me, but those people who continually elect vicious republicans in those places with the lowest quality of life indicators (education, health delivery, life expectancy). Those states further alienate employers that find extreme policies such as abortion bans, and drag show bans, and book bans bad for business.

A message like this won't necessarily persuade those most thirsty for the Cruel-Aid, but aggressive messaging from a point of strength moves the wishy-washy voter and wishy-washy voters can make all the difference. "Strong on Democracy" and "Strong on governing" can overtake the false "Strong on the Economy" message that has helped buoy goppers for decades. Maga has tried to campaign unsuccessfully on inflation and gas prices for the past year and where has it gotten them?
