27. It's not a mystery, and it's not a conspiracy.

Trump exhausts us with his outrages. He exhausts the media as well. That his rhetoric, which is always confused, inchoate and is basically all free-form lies anyway, goes from 99.65% fascist to 99.70% doesn't elicit shock anymore, if it ever did. Trump has trampled every political norm, but only for Repukes. Dems are commonly called baby killing communists, but if you ever call a Repuke a Repuke, they get their feewings hurt and start screaming.

Democrats, on the other hand, are held to a higher standard. We're supposed to care, be respectful, be inclusive - it's our Party's brand. When HRC dared be mean to deplorable GQP assholes, it was shocking. The media focus became her transgression of political norms - they have to report controversies. Like when she dared to tell AIPAC that the West Bank Settlements were an issue - how dare she touch the 3rd rail and criticize Israel!

Are Repukes still deplorable? Fuck yes they are.
