Most of the major news outlets have reported extensively on Trump's descent into authoritarianism for years. We mostly ignore it for the sake of knee-jerk declaring that all the media is worthless.

They have reported on his vermin rhetoric and noted the similarities to Mussolini and Hitler.

They have reported on his rhetoric about putting his enemies in camps and eliminating threats.

They have reported extensively on pretty much every step of his trials and lawsuits.

Example: CNN today: https://www.cnn.com/2023/12/04/politics/trump-presidential-power-2024/index.html

This is the same CNN that DUers say is far right and never covers Trump's bullshit. Right.

Sensationalizing and projecting outrage are not their job. Their job is to present the facts, not stomp their feet. There's a fine line between presenting an accurate view and editorializing.

Are the major media outlets perfect? Of course not, but they also aren't the bogeymen that DU pretends they are. They cover Trump and his threats to normalcy and democracy extensively. We just mostly choose to pretend otherwise.
