In reply to the discussion: Young voters bailing on Biden [View all]bigtree
(94,578 posts)...which are so ridiculous they shouldn't be taken seriously.
I mean, there are folks here just digging into President Biden on a Democratic advocacy board on EACH AND EVERY REPORT on any poll result that goes against our Democratic nominee, anxiously awaiting yet another negative result that they can post for our edification.
You just have to ask what is the expected result from people who push these absurd polls? You don't motivate an electorate by publishing and promoting every negative poll result about our Democratic nominee.
The most immediate result is a depression of support, which is what I believe these news reports behind what is often their own sponsored surveys are designed to do.
It's also why some posters share these polls, sometimes seemingly innocuously highlighting spoiler candidates like Dean Phillips, suggesting Pres. Biden should step aside for someone polling double digits behind him, because... polls.
But, sure, let's pretend this is just some zero-sum effort that just intends to inform us all about these self-serving media reports built on mostly meaningless early polling.
No doubt, they are just doing god's work here telling us that the entire nation's electorate's opinion rests with the 1000 or so respondents that these surveys bother to include in their polls, out of the several thousand others they don't.
No doubt this is just a truth-telling effort; albeit one that rests it's credibility with the very same networks cable or otherwise) which launder the bullshit they've been pushing for the past year through these survey's respondents in an effort to legitimize and amplify the bullshit they want to make this election about.
No doubt the five people in this article accurately represent the nation's youth, absolutely, because this NBC article said so.
No doubt.
