92. Biden's reelection is by no means guaranteed and we'd be foolish to act as if it were.

Everyone was just so certain that Hillary would win in 2016, right up until she didn't. Everyone was laughing at Trump right up until Election Day, and then the returns started coming in and the laughter died. I vividly remember waking up the day after the election and thinking I'd woken up in the wrong timeline, and the four years of Trump's term were painful in the extreme.

Some might call this doom and gloom. I think of it as taking nothing, nothing for granted. Trump is even more of an existential threat to American democracy now than he was in his first term. Treat him as such and fight like hell to keep him out of the Oval Office. There's way too much riding on this election, and we dismiss Trump at our own peril.

Carville is absolutely right to point out that another victory for Biden is not certain. Complacency is deadly.
