(19,929 posts)27. As I've pointed out multiple times, there is exactly one reason Lee and other Republicans wanted Garland
appointed to anything by Trump.
So he could fill his spot on the powerful DC Circuit court, while putting Garland into a position where he could be fired at will.
Perhaps not convenient for your narrative, but its the truth.
