(9,354 posts)between people who believe good and evil are perceived through the intellect, and those who believes there is some other means of perception, more dedicated to oerceivug right and wrong.
Those who believe right and wrong are perceived intellectually often, though not always, tend to attribute the choice of evil to a deficiency of intellect, and therefore to something like insanity, rather than to the deliberate choice of evil. Insanity is an affliction, and generally not one's own fuault. People who believe that theory have a greater tendency to regard the villain as another victim, for whom they can have some sympathy.
You certainly are not required to feel that way, and I'mquick to admit that both persoectives are flawed. But you might want not to imply that people who hold that view are not condoning the evil that some one has done.
