On DU you will get a few different types of response.
1. Can't happen. No need to discuss.
2. Let them go. Fuck em. Build Wall.
3. Sell Texas back to Mexico.
4. Maybe someone will go into depth about history and legal issues.
If you want to actually get information about secession and the viewpoints and legal treatises on the topic, there are a lot of places where people with more training and information are doing that.
