In reply to the discussion: Very sad- Israel is bombing Rafah during Superbowl [View all]radius777
(3,921 posts)91. Biden implored Netanyahu not to do it,
citing the risk to civilians. Biden Admin has been working behind the scenes for a ceasefire, not strongly enough in my opinion, though I still support Biden, but many other pro-Palestine voters do not.
Neocon Zionism is far more driven from the RW, which Dems have been cornered into sometimes for not wanting to seem anti-Semitic. Very few if any Dems support what Netanyahu is doing, even if they support Israel. A recent poll was done where 50% of Dem voters view the current situation as genocide.

50% of voters who voted for Biden in 2020 think that Israel is "committing genocide against Palestinian civilians, according to polling from YouGov and The Economist conducted from January 21-23 that surveyed 1,664 US adult citizens.
Another 20% of Biden voters said that's not the case, while another 30% said they were not sure.
Among all registered voters, 32% said that Israel is committing genocide, while 42% said no and another 26% said they were not sure. 67% of Republicans said Israel is not committing genocide.

Islam is a fairly straight foward religion. I believe the only holy days are Ramadan, which goes from Mar 10 - Apr 9th

My family were Armenian and were victims of genocide by the Muslim Turks. The Turks did not take Fridays off!

Netanyahu is a white man. RW whites are very pro-Israel because they see them as whites

At least my local media no longer tries to hide it. (Hide their bias, that is.)
