The strongest support for Ukraine and resistance to Russia is in the Senate, where members have to win state-wide elections.

The House Republicans are much more supported by voters who, regardless of how they feel about Ukraine and Russia, care way more about owning the libs and guns and forced birth.

The whole party, even those Senators who are, for the moment, standing up for Ukraine, are working very hard to get Trump re-elected, and to put Trump in a position where he'll tear down NATO, much to Putin's delight. They don't care enough about Ukraine to try to stop that.
