I had a friend who was studying to be a priest in college. He noted that most of the evangelicals he encountered were fond of quoting the old testament, but rarely ever mentioned quotes from the new testament, which for believers is the one supposed to be based on what Jesus taught. The very guy who put the Christ in Christian! I have always found that a very interesting observation.

Some of the them apparently don't even think the 10 commandments apply to them as they seem to be putting what Mr. Golden Sneaker Showers tells them over what God and Jesus asked of the faithful.
