Their pushing for union-busting legislation is no surprise, I suppose, considering the number of employees they now have in the USA, but Trader Joe's, at least in the old days, was known for being a decent place to work. Aldi, the German parent company, may be different, but our neighbor's daughter started out on the bottom rung, and has worked her way up the ladder on her own. She must now be about 30, and is pregnant, so she'll be getting the German maternity leave soon. I have no clue how Aldi treats its American employees.
