In reply to the discussion: This is EXACTLY how the media should be reporting on Trump [View all]highplainsdem

you asked - the report started by mentioning Trump's campaign is on the defensive for his rhetoric. She pointed out that he predicted a bloodbath while he was talking about the auto industry, but there was nothing about Trump's defenders claiming that was all he was talking about. Instead she immediately added that Trump had started his speech by paying tribute to the people who attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6. She then mentioned Biden's campaign denouncing the comments as threatening political violence.
The tweet was from Aaron Rupar, whose tweets are often posted here, and he commented
brutal opening of ABC World News Tonight for Trump
when he posted the 30-second clip.
The post immediately went viral on Twitter. I'd seen it retweeted by MeidasTouch and George Conway before I posted it here. This morning it has over 2 million views on Twitter and about 4700 retweets.
I despise Elon Musk, and he's damaged Twitter. But there are a lot of good people on Twitter still, and none of the current Twitter alternatives are close to being a good substitute for the commentary and rapid news it provides. Which is why you continue seeing people here posting tweets.
I didn't "Link to Musk" - I linked to a journalist DUers admire and video from ABC.
And changing your settings to view the link here would have let you see exactly what the post was about in much less time than it took you to post a message asking to have it explained to you.
