I'm having a problem understanding the McDaniels backlash. [View all]
I haven't kept up with it too closely, but I sense a note of irony in pundits like Steve Schmidt expressing fears and loathing of this newly selected /deselected / cancelled "contributor".
Schmidt himself was the head of day to day operations for the McCain campaign and served under GW Bush. Sure, he was a bad campaign manager, but when working under Karl Rove he spouted more right wing lies than... than... well that record is now moot, but the point is, he still works at NBC. And what about Nicole Wallace, GW's press secretary? We all love to hear the former head of the RNC, Michael Steele, talk.
At times I think these people are the world's most underrated thespians, able to turn sides and take up loyalty to whoever pays the bills.
I'm not sure why they drew the line at Ronna McDaniels, but I notice she now believes Joe Biden was elected fair & square. It just sounds like the same woman got handed a new script.
How am I wrong? What did I miss that makes Ronna McDaniel a hot potato?
