45. It is absolutely self defense.

You seem to have no idea what the concept even is and it has nothing to do with a body count or avenging anything.

It is self defense to remove the threat and malicious folly to count to 1200 or 1400 and turn around and await the next attack to avenge.

This concept makes no sense whatsoever. Not morally. Not logically. Certainly not militarily.

It is like some cannot imagine a conflict much beyond squabbling siblings in the 3rd row of mom's SUV.

The count is however many it takes to quell the threat.

Has Hamas been broken or surrendered? Have the hostages been released?

Then the only objectives that matter have not be reached.
