(2,617 posts)They bear no resemblance to conservatives. These radicals think, for some totally unknown reasons, that they are first class citizens and are entitled to run "real America". All of the rest of us are at best second class citizens and we must bend the knee to the "real Americans". The radicals see everything in terms of good and evil. Of course they are good and everyone else is evil. Under those conditions their side can be the only side; compromise is heretical. It is this idea that compromise is evil that has rendered the House of Representative completely dysfunctional.
To make our country work we need both conservatives and liberals. Just remember, there are a great many conservatives that are good people and if we all join together we can make the country a place where we can all pursue our vision of happiness.
