(12,467 posts)Anyway, I wanted to mention that as we all gracefully grow older that there are several items that effect how we eat.
It's not always limited to family, stress, social or economics. Sometimes how we eat is due to our allergy/food intolerance's, environment and health. Sometimes our tastes change as well.
I use to consume ketchup and now since I've restricted my diet (AKA adjusted my lifestyle) I no longer consume ketchup. I use to have this weird thing that happened to me after I consumed ketchup, the upper part of my nose would get hot and sweaty. My now deceased maternal grandfather and my son had/have this reaction to ketchup as well. My mother doesn't have this reaction at all.
When I first moved to Buffalo, I use to eat at Ted's Hotdogs frequently. This was way before I discovered that I had a gluten intolerance/sensitivity. There on every table at Ted's Hotdogs was a clear oil style condiment bottle. I asked my partner what is this? He replied that it was vinegar. At the time I thought it was a weird condiment to have on the table.
Since I've lived in Buffalo for sometime now, I put a tiny splash of vinegar on my homemade french fries instead of ketchup. I don't eat ketchup at all anymore, but in my youth and young adult days I had to have that stuff on everything that a person would normally put ketchup on.
