The 6 week abortion ban goes into effect May 1st.

But on the ballot in November is an amendment to protect abortion until viability (24 weeks).

For a kicker recreational marijuana is also on the ballot. And while that is likely to draw out more liberals than conservatives, Republicans politicians have huge personal investments in it, so they are pushing hard for it to pass - which means they are appealing to liberal voters for it.
