Why the ugly Republican lie about Dems and infanticide matters

9. Accusing Dems of killing babies (real babies, born ones) is so ridiculous

that it's allowed to slip by in interviews. Or the interviewer is friendly, as on Fox.

Yet there are thousands (millions?) of people buying it. Once people believe it they aren't apt to change their minds.

The funny thing (if any of this were funny) is that if the baby has been born it's not an abortion. It's just plain murder. Anti-abortion laws would not protect babies from being murdered after birth, if such things were going on. There are another set of laws for that. These are unrelated subjects.

But they have to say it because they know there aren't enough people against actual abortion.

Then there's the whole issue of late term abortions which also isn't happening unless the fetus isn't viable and the health of the mother is at risk.

When there are too many lies, it's hard to get to all of them. Like dealing with Trump.
