That would be frightening and confusing. Their god is stupid, cruel, inconsistent, mean, and insecure because these people created their god in their own image.

I think we can tell a lot about people by the gods - or absence of gods - they choose to follow. People who think of God as forgiving, empathetic, and demanding the same of His followers tend to be forgiving, empathetic people with high standards. Does a person follow the Goddess? Chances are they care about protecting the Earth and they celebrate all of Creation. Atheists tend to be self-reliant people with their own moral code.

The meanies follow a mean god of their own creation.
