starting , from the Israeli perspective, with the fact that Gaza is currently ruled by a terrorist organization which does not hesitate to massacre large numbers of innocent civilians while pursuing the demise of the Jewish state.

But many before me have observed that Hamas may well have been willing to sacrifice the lives of 100,000 Palestinians in order to trigger a brutal enough response from Israel to make it a pariah State.
