(56,201 posts)It was a season-long competition. Basically each week the two teams would have to compete usually by selling something. Imagine a lemonade stand or a t-shirt shop.
The teams would quickly design their product and their marketing pitch then go out and sell sell sell!
The losing team would then be brought into the "boardroom" when Donnie would berate them for losing, instigate arguments, and eventually "fire" the contestant he pinned the blame on.
In short, imagine the worst boss possible, that's Donnie.
Anyway, the last contestant left at the end of the season won.
Initially, they "won" a job working for this worst boss ever, with a salary of $250k. I don't know if they were guaranteed anything. For all I know he fired them after the first week.
Later they switched from ordinary suckups competing for a job to minor celebrities competing for their favorite charity.
Oh, I should note, the winners usually were the ones who simply called a rich buddy who would come and by $25k would have lemonade or whatever. Typical Donnie scam and turned the supposed competition into a who knows the biggest sucker game. Having the best lemonade or the best marketing pitch often didn't matter, just whose friend threw away more money.
