In some of the states where I've worked with people who were convicted, there is a complete workup of evaluations, profiles, etc., of the person and it all goes into a huge book with other information on the case.

However, I recall reading an article about this guy and it was one of those cases where he got sucked into the propaganda web they've so extensively created in this country.
