4. The Boom was from WWII and automobile plants

During WWII they built tanks, airplanes & military equipment and of course automobiles. The loss of a need of workers and then people started leaving in mass. There was just no economic opportunity for kids graduating high school. A lot of people moved to Texas to get work.
