It all depends on circumstances and details.
Hypothetical situation:
A young man, when 18, participates in a holdup at a liquor store and serves as the "driver'. His two friends threaten the cashier with an unloaded gun and are given the cash. Just as they are getting in the car, a cop car pulls up. They are arrested and go to trial where all are convicted of armed robbery. The "driver" gets 6 months in prison. Years later he running for senator in his state after 20 years being a college professor. His opponent is a MAGA Republican who made a lot of money in the arms-industry but he managed to do it legally.
Who would I vote for?
Hints: I hate arms dealers. I loathe MAGAs. I admire teachers.
