9. I think they did want to be done with him

Honestly, I think they did, but Trump had brainwashed his supporters so much that once they began losing viewers when they put him at arm's length, they felt like they had to run back.

I have an Aunt who jumped off of the Fox News train during one of their spells with distancing themselves from Trump. She now says they've sold out out and are just as bad as CNN and the rest of the mainstream media, and has never gone back to them. THAT'S why Fox and the rest of the RW echo chamber can't quit him, the base is somewhere closer to Breitbart than Fox News...so FNC has to go further right to keep them.
