Insofar as the regulars in the GOP are concerned, Trump was never their choice. They were saddled with him. The Republican's biggest lift will be how they rid themselves of his lingering stain without making themselves even more of a minority than they have been since 1932. For this task, Fox News and similar propaganda outlets may prove useless.
