8. Those are all the things they're going to try to do

They've stated ahead of the election that they're going to do it, and if they win, they will claim a mandate, and they will go for it.

It's not unprecedented. If you want to see evidence of right-wing politicians doing really dumb shit while the people that voted them in sit there and stare while they do it, the best most recent example I can think of is Brexit.

The Tories are about to get wiped out in the UK, and one of the reasons is because of all the lies they told about Brexit and how it would benefit the country. They managed to pull off that charade for quite some time, but now even Conservative voters realize that they've been had, and Britain is in way worse shape than it was before.

But Brexit actually happened, and the damage has been done. It's too late for them to take that back now and make things like it never happened. I guess that's what I mean when I say "too late." If Trump wins and Project 2025 goes into effect, massive backlash from citizens, whether at the voting booth or through protests and civil disobedience *might* eventually put the country back on a more sane course -- or we might end up more like Russia, with a police state and massive crackdowns on dissent.

Either way, it will be too late to stop all the harmful policies they put into place in the meantime.
