I do my best to look past the bullcrap and take a step back when I see something unusual. This debate was one of those instances.
I see it more in the long game format. All this freaking out will settle down, maybe even by this time tomorrow as people regain their composure. Nobody likes watching their team suffer a setback, even if this is really meaningless in the end. Debates don't change minds, all it does is give people something to talk about and not much more.
Joe Biden will remain our candidate, and I feel good about his chances in November if we start focusing on policy and issues, and drop the drama baloney. In my opinion, these court cases have been one of the worst distractions of all, and putting them on hold and getting them OUT of the news until later is better for us, not Trump. His problems don't go away, and we will get to focus on selling policy like we should be.
Regardless, all this will fade quickly enough as people gather their senses again. Onward as we forge ahead. I feel good about our chances, even if Biden wasn't at his best tonight.
