(343 posts)I'm not a Democrat anymore, I'm a Socialist. But despite my ideological differences with the party, I'm of the school of "All good people come to the aid of the country." And right now, Trump and the Republicans are a clear and present danger to this country and all that it stands for and what it can be.
I'm not very concerned with "bedwetters", "hand wringers" and "whiners" or their feelings. I am concerned with voters, workers and donors. My only mission (and every other Democrat) is to make sure President Joe Biden is reelected and that the Congress turn deep dark blue. Anything detracting from that is counter to the mission.
Did Joe have a bad night? Sure did. But [expletive deleted] happens. Just because Bryce Harper goes 0-4 one game doesn't mean I bench him, especially if he's having a good season now and had good seasons before. And I damn sure won't trade him. Perspective, people.
I want y'all to think about this: The Republicans are betting the ranch that they can nominate the worst person; a twice impeached, felony convicted, adjudicated rapist, fraudster; the most incompetent President since George W. Bush (who screwed up big time the first time around) and have an agenda just south of "Mein Kampf" and get him elected...again. As opposed to an actual good man. Remember Jimmy Carter? An ACTUAL CHRISTIAN? We're still picking up the pieces from the Reagan era. Take a look at all of the Republican presidents since Eisenhower, it reads like a who's who from "Incompetents R US. So you know, character and competence doesn't matter to them.
It's time to get on board, or get left behind. I personally want to know who are the ones who are calling for Biden to "step down" because they need an attitude adjustment. This isn't even my party anymore, but I'm "Ridin' With Biden". Two reasons: 1. I believe in Joe; I believe in US 2. I want to see that SOB Trump and his ilk in an orange jumpsuit and behind bars. If it's good enough for me, it's good enough for you. As the late Adam Clayton Powell said: "Keep the faith, baby"
For those of you who need more inspiration, I'll offer this:
