1. Here's my question: what's their strategy if they want to force Biden off the ticket?

Just saying, "conversations should happen..." ain't enough for me, sorry. This is a gigantic step - an unprecedented move (remember what happened when McGovern replaced Eagleton - this would be 1000x times more newsworthy). So, what's your next step dealing with the media?

Because I promise you the media and Republicans especially aren't going to just shrug and say, "okay...cool." and move on.

Their next question is going to be: Is Biden fit to be president?

How can any Democrat who supports moving on from Biden answer that question where it doesn't become a massive political shit-show for the party anyway?

If you're openly conceding Biden might need to be replaced, you are also conceding that he might not have what it takes to remain president RIGHT NOW. I don't care if you don't think that is your intention. That is the narrative you will be fueling. And I have yet to hear a reasonable answer on how to push back against such a narrative because, honestly, there isn't one

Joe Biden is the nominee. Joe Biden will win in November. Joe Biden has been a fantastic president. One fucking debate doesn't change that.

You are absolutely right on all this-- and welcome to DU! DemocraticPatriot Jun 2024 #7
Thank you. Frankly, I am far more appalled by the response to Biden's debate than the actual debate. Self Esteem Jun 2024 #8
Same here. Democrats have something to learn from the Republicans DemocraticPatriot Jun 2024 #9

Hmmmm, poor debate performance vs guilty of rape and 34 other felonies. Yep, Joe has got to go. NoMoreRepugs Jun 2024 #2

I think they are glad Biden is the opponent, just like many here want trump not some younger A-wipe. The whole election Silent Type Jun 2024 #10

I just told you. If they think Biden won't perform poorly again and can soldier on, we need to get behind him. Silent Type Jul 2024 #37
