The most ominous thing about this is its sheer graspability among the general public: everyone knows an elderly relative that eventually ‘lost it’ and with which what is happening to Joe will jarringly resonate.
None of us is immune to the ravages of time. There is no disgrace in that.
I fear the opposite TBH: that Joe’s continuation will hand the election to Trump.
