1. The fact that every word out of Trump's mouth was a lie

wasn't news because he always lies about everything; if he'd been coherent and truthful that would have made the news. Biden's poor debate performance was an anomaly, though, so it was news. To report on it was understandable and fair. What's neither understandable nor fair is to take the observation that Biden was off his game during 90 minutes of trying unsuccessfully to defeat Trump at his usual game of Liar's Whack-A-Mole, and turn it into a feeding frenzy related to Biden's age and competence and never shutting the fuck up about it and never even mentioning the fact that his opponent lied his way through the whole thing and never actually answered a question.
