(13,535 posts)A. G. Sulzberger is the grandson of Ochs, who purchased the paper in 1896. While the Times has shareholders, all the voting stockand thus all the management decisionsare in the hands of family members. As the Publisher of the NYT, Sulzberger makes its publishing decisions, and he seems to have a vendetta against Biden because Trump invited him to the WH twice during his term and Biden has not given the Times a private interview.
Im sure most readers remember how the Times harped on Hillary Clintons emails daily as if she were the only government official to have a private server. Karl Rove used a private server for all messages leading up to the Iraq War and then illegally deleted them to avoid the press finding out their contents. The Times helped paint Hillary as a major lawbreaker but after the election we learned that she had three confidential emailsnot top-secret documents like the ones Trump illegally tookand I think at least one of them had been classified after it was sent to her. In other words, the Times made a mountain out of a molehill, and its doing the same to Biden now for one bad day.
