If the GOP had any decency left, its members would be discussing whether to dump Trump for a candidate who isn’t out to bulldoze democratic institutions in favor of autocracy.

First, the R's have NO decency... period.

Second, dumping democracy in favor of autocracy is exactly what all the R's want. It's a feature -- not a bug. Why would they replace him? He's the easiest to control, they've discovered. They'd hoped Bush the younger was that person, but turned out Bush actually had his own agenda and the "smarts" and wherewithal to make it happen (sort of). GW's mental problems weren't as amenable to being pushed in the desired direction as T's are.
