3. I haven't listened to TV "news" since 2000

If I watch a program, it will be something to educate myself, such as electric cars vs gasoline engines … which is worse for the environment? Or how economists think we can extend social security or how to grow the economy without blowing up inflation.
I don’t need to listen to people whose values are the complete opposite of mine and who actually want a different outcome.
I want some semblance of income equality. They don’t. I want healthcare for all. They don’t. I want free food for all hungry people. They don’t. They want low taxes. I don’t (unless by some magic, everyone is healthy and prospering with and we have an excess).
If we’re not even going in the same direction, why do I listen to them? And once they start lying about facts, they are useless to me.
