(7,192 posts)We cannot have a conversation. To watch them is to surrender valuable living time. They are being paid for their time, we are not.
The comunication is all one way. They tell us, we listen. It is unequal. A watcher/ listener becomes frustrated. Frustration leads to anxiety and a logical reaction is to stop/watching. This is a good reaction. It saves our valuable time, decreases anxiety and frees us up to pay attention to family, friends, neighbors. If enough people turn them off, they do eventually take notice because it affects profit.
The format is cheap because the shows are aimed at making a profit. Having talking heads on camera used to be considered bad form . These shows are mostly all talking heads. Very old fashioned.
Sure I can do an online comment but that is probably just tension relief for me with no guarantee it will be taken to heart by the grand communicators.
